The Kitchen and Bath Industry Show, better known by its acronym KBIS, will be an augmented reality virtual event in 2021. The National Kitchen and Bathroom Association and the brands that every year use this event as a runway to present their innovations, adapted to the new reality to organize a unique and dynamic exhibition, using advanced technology.

Thus, KBIS Virtual will be a four-day event that’ll take place from February 9th to the 12th, 2021. The event will have a virtual “exhibition floor” that’ll open every day from 10 am to 6 pm ET.

During these hours, attendees -who have time to register until March 31st -will be able to explore the Virtual Exhibition Hall, participate in individual meetings with different brands, experience product demonstrations, and attend exclusive live events such as the annual State of the Industry address, KBIS NeXT Stage panels and several awards ceremonies.

Among the exhibitors already confirmed for this virtual edition of KBIS 2021 is Liebherr, a German brand that is part of the LCI portfolio. Last year, Liebherr’s stand featured several exclusive products, including those from the iconic Monolith collection.

This year, Liebherr will take advantage of the exhibition to present a new prototype of the Monolith wine column. This will be a great opportunity since the public will be able to discover all its features in KBIS, prior to its formal launch.

Virtual stand immersive experiences, product launches and demonstrations, as well as individual live and personalized meetings with exhibitors, are the strengths of this innovative edition of KBIS. To this we must add, like previous years, the best of KBIS Awards and NKBA Design + Industry Awards, NKBA Voices from the Industry 2.0, and the discussion panel with experts KBIS NeXT Stage.

Among the innovations that this new format will present stand out the DesignBites, an experience that’ll offer the possibility to discover, in just one hour, the new product trends in the areas of luxury, smart technology and wellness. Also, there will be other activities such as the Media Preview Day (an exclusive early access to exhibitors) and the Fun Networking, among other surprises that the organizers wanted had up under their sleeves, but that will certainly have a touch of augmented reality.

It’s worth mentioning that at the end of last year KBIS organizers announced an interesting partnership with Sequin AR, an augmented reality content creator. According to press information, the purpose of this agreement was to produce multiple events for KBIS Virtual 2021.

In fact, one of the events that’ll have augmented reality as the main feature will be the Design + Industry Awards that in 2021 will be, according to information issued by KBIS, inclusive, interactive and, above all, entertaining. Sequin AR, a company founded by Robert DeFranco, first attracted worldwide attention in 2019 by developing five virtual versions for Madonna during her performance at the Billboard Music Awards.

Another new feature of the virtual experience KBIS 2021 is that attendees will have 24/7 access until March 31st. As if that wasn’t enough, KBIS programming, including exhibitor stands, educational sessions, and special events, will be available on demand after the scheduled display. This will give attendees enough time to explore and experience all that KBIS Virtual has to offer.
