The KBIS (Kitchen and Bath Industry Show) opens its doors again for architects, interior designers, remodelers, and developers for the opportunity to start the new year with a broad vision of what’s new and the trends in kitchens and bathrooms.
KBIS is the interactive catwalk for the most famous brands to showcase their most innovative proposals. However, these exhibitions aren’t the only interesting factor of this event that will take place from January 9-11, 2018 in Orlando, Florida. There will also be networking activities, special events, seminars, conferences, and plenty of opportunities to connect with professionals in construction, decoration, and home interior design.
Among the best
A selection of the biggest brands of La Cuisine International will be present in this event in 2018: Franke, Smeg, Gaggenau, Bosch, Best, Liebherr, Faber, and Thermador. Which will take advantage of their prestige and high-quality to impress experts and spectators alike with the innovations they bring to the kitchen market.
The webpage of KBIS that usually highlights the most relevant facts of the 2017 event is emphasizing the elegant hoods from Faber -Oceana and Stratus- along with Liebherr’s refrigerator SBS 32S2 with BioFresh technology, and the freezer/refrigerator CBS 1360. The fact that the refrigerators of the German brand are among the most relevant products for the event doesn’t come as a surprise since they were recently awarded the ENERGY STAR in the “most efficient” category for 2017 in the United States and Canada for the seventh year in a row.
Thus, both the Italian and German brands will certainly offer the public more of their appliances that combine high-quality and design during this edition of KBIS.
Even though the brands participating in KBIS 2018 have not given away any information about what they will present, many of them will exhibit their most innovative pieces and models. Smeg, for example, may include glamorous pieces such as the GOLDEN FAB refrigerator. The FAB28RDG is finished in a golden shade that turns it into a design gem for the kitchen. The refrigerator has the technical support of this renowned brand, exhibiting the Smeg logo in manually applied Swarovski crystals.
The German brand Gaggenau will surely show two models of their 200-series wine storage among their innovations. The RW 282 (178 cm) and the redesigned RW 222 (123 cm), which are the new allies to preserve the life of your private wine collection. Among its latest novelties, this brand has incorporated a launching within the 400-kitchen series: The flex induction cooktop with downdraft ventilation in two versions, CVL 420 and CVL 410. These new cooking areas of Gaggenau can be installed without a frame and will be one of the most attractive appliances on their stand.
The emblematic American brand of luxury appliances Thermador will demonstrate its culinary mastery with its most recent launching: The groundbreaking induction cooktop Liberty™. With a 36-inch cooking area, users may take advantage of a larger cooking surface and the versatility to place cookware.
This cooktop offers not only power, control (digital panel), and flexibility (11 oval inductors divided into 3 cooking zones that can accommodate pans and pots of different sizes), but also a sophisticated and modern aesthetic that matches any kitchen design.
Technology + design
Bosch took center stage at KBIS this year for the connectivity of its appliances, and that will intensify during 2018. Last August, the brand announced that the apps Drop Recipes and Connected Scale were fully integrated into the Smart Wall Ovens of Bosch through Home Connect.
This merger provides Bosch users with access to the digital recipe book of Drop -which offers more than 700 recipes from well-known chefs and collaborators- and allows them to access step-by-step instructions for recipes and monitor and control a variety of cooking functions that include the time and temperature required. Evidently, Bosch is betting on kitchen connectivity and its appliances faithfully follow the slogan “Invented for Life,” aiming at making the experience in the kitchen a simple and enjoyable one.
Franke’s Pescara collection will be present at their exhibition during KBIS 2018 as the most recent launching of the brand in the United States. Clean line sinks and faucets, a broad workspace inspired by the Italian tradition and durable materials that are stain and rust resistant are some of the features of this new line.
Just as it happened last year, the enthusiasts of Best are back in KBIS 2018 with their cutting-edge focus on the design and manufacture of kitchen hoods. The Italian brand offers designers and consumer alike great flexibility with the perfect cooking station, through models that combine avant-garde designs with state-of-the-art technology and promise to bedazzle them again with newer and bolder concepts.
And this is just a preamble of what the exhibitions of our luxurious brands will be like. Let’s just wait for KBIS 2018 to open its doors, the surprises are around the corner.
