It’s official! The Pantone Color Institute has unveiled the shade that will bring warmth and elegance to your spaces in 2024: Pantone 13 – 1023 Peach Fuzz.

Pantone 13 – 1023 Peach Fuzz sits on the delicate border between pink and orange, evoking a sense of belonging, reconciliation, and the opportunity to nurture. Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, says that this hue provides a space to be, feel, heal, and flourish, whether spending time with others or enjoying solitude. 

How can this hue be incorporated into the home and especially the kitchen? Pantone suggests the color-drenching technique, that is, covering an entire space in Peach Fuzz. 

But don’t panic. This doesn’t mean you should use this color everywhere to make your kitchen trendy. The Color Institute suggests that the alternative to this technique would be to add a touch of this color through furniture, decorative objects, wallpaper, wall paint, or textiles. In this way, the kitchen can take advantage of the calm and harmonious atmosphere that this tone brings.

The color of the year turns 25 

Following 2023’s striking Viva Magenta, an intense and empowering hue, Peach Fuzz arrives to offer a soft and subtle alternative. While Viva Magenta brought strength and character to spaces, Peach Fuzz presents itself as an ideal choice for those seeking a welcoming and calm aesthetic. 

And 2024 is a special year because Pantone’s Color of the Year turns 25 years old. This initiative of the Pantone Institute that seeks to reflect society’s trends and moods through colors began in 1999 and has influenced multiple sectors from graphic design to fashion, cosmetics, and interior decoration ever since. 

Pantone’s first color of the year was Cerulean Blue15-4020 in 1999, inspired by the turn of the millennium and the serenity of the blue sky. 

According to the company, 2024’s Peach Fuzz refers to the centennial celebration of the first radio transmission, which took place in 1924, establishing a new era of communications and exchange of ideas.
