The Annual Kitchen & Bath Industry Show, known by its acronym KBIS, which is organized by the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), returned in 2019 to Las Vegas. After a two-year period in Orlando, Florida, the sixth annual Design and Construction week returned to Las Vegas, Nevada, bringing together more than 600 brands and professionals dedicated to design and residential construction, from February 19th to the 21st.
More than an event, in recent years KBIS had become an interactive and inspiring platform where renowned brands and companies related to the kitchen, bathroom, and construction design industry present their latest products, trends, and technologies to the industry. The event, which also had an interesting section of lectures, has become the most effective way for interior designers, architects and the general public to stay up-to-date about the latest materials, trends, and launches.
LCI’s brands attend the event
Smeg. Once again Smeg attended the KBIS. The brand that celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2018, introduced changes in its lines that certainly shined under the lights of Las Vegas. The case is that Disney has joined the already known collaborations of the brand with renowned firms from different fields such as Dolce & Gabbana, Mini, and Veuve Clicquot.
The special edition that transformed the refrigerator FAB28 into a collection item for Mickey Mouse lovers was present in this exhibition, as well as the new 4-grid toaster of the 50’s Retro line (Model TSF03PGEU) and the renewed version of the emblematic FAB28 that now has more interior space.
Liebherr. Liebherr also took advantage of KBIS’s runway to present the latest in its catalog. The must see from Liebherr included the Monolith refrigerator. The refrigerator that takes home cooling to another level certainly had an outstanding place at the stand of the brand. Other products displayed were the SBSef 7242 ComfortNoFrost, and the SBSes 8486 PremiumPlusBioFreshNoFrost due to their excellent combination of freezer, refrigerator and wine cellar.
Faber. Faber was present in KBIS two new models of extractor hoods. The Camino Pro and Inca SD Pro style, both high-tech models, with LED lighting, professional style baffle filters, and high-power motor.
Other brands. At the outdoor KBIS Pavilion, Coyote Outdoor Living showcase the best of its catalog. The Galley was another of LCI’s brands that participated in the 2019 KBIS. The exhibition was formed by a sample of the had-made high-engineering products of the brand.
Scotsman, one of the world’s largest ice systems manufacturers, also had a stand at KBIS 2019. Once again Scotsman, presented the Brilliance machines at KBIS, the best residential ice machines that demonstrated how the brand has innovated in terms of ice making for more than 50 years.
KBIS is renewed
Another major attraction of the sixth edition of KBIS was the conference Voices from the Industry, which consisted of two dozen CEU sessions, and four professional development courses. The seminars, of two hours each, offered 2.0 CEU credits and 2 hours of education to obtain and maintain the AKBD, CKBD, or CMKBD certification.
The dynamic programming of the KBIS began at the KBISNeXT scenario with new discussion panels about important and exciting topics such as women in design, sustainability, and much more. These topics were moderated by industry leaders, among which were the editors of Architectural Digest, Metropolis, and Traditional Home.
IBS
In addition to the celebration of the 2019 KBIS, architects, builders, and designers were able to enjoy the variety of innovations the year brings during the Design and Construction Week and the International Builders Show (IBS).
At the 2019 IBS there were also be other brands from LCI’s portfolio: Bosch, Thermador, and Gaggenau. All of them shared the stand C3830 within the central hall, in a space of 9,400 square feet.
What you can expect to see in the stand of these emblematic brands from the LCI family were the latest from their catalogs: refrigerators, cooking plates, ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, and extractor hoods made of the best materials and most advanced technology.
In other words, the famous lights of Las Vegas will shine for 3 days on the brands, trends, materials, and knowledge that will set the tone for 2019.
