From necessary equipment to preserve nice aromas in the kitchen, to a luxury and even decorative element with the same functions and much more, that is what the Italian brand Faber has achieved with cooker hoods. With more than 65 years of experience, this firm has put its knowledge of design and engineering in favor of kitchens around the world to create beautiful extractors that have become the favorites of decoration specialists.
However, while aesthetics is a point of honor and a characteristic of this brand’s “made in Italy” seal, the quality of the materials used in the manufacturing of its hoods and the high-tech components placed in them is what has turned Faber into the undisputed leader of its niche. Not coincidentally, one of every two hoods sold in the world carries its rubric.
The quality and design of Faber is not only recognized, but has also been awarded. Recently, the Italian brand has received the coveted Red Dot Design international award for its Talika hood, which won the award for best product design. Talika is the first truly vertical hood, and thanks to it Faber joined the Olympus of brands and designers, including Apple, BMW, and Pininfarina; who in recent years have achieved this award.
The Red Dot Design Award honors the quality and ingenuity of designers and manufacturers around the world, whose products are a benchmark for the industry. The prize awarded to Faber recognizes the innovative finishes of great scenic impact and the well-defined geometric lines of the Talika hood in its three different models: the white panel placed in the base is combined with another one in copper, titanium or one in cement respectively.
Talika is a light and elegant hood that placed above the cooking plate is transformed into a kind of window that purifies air. It has a surprising diffuser of just 15 cm thick, which allows it to reach the A energy class. In addition, this hood is able to overcome the traditional design of oblique surfaces, to position itself as the first model perpendicular to the cooking surface. That is to say, a true innovation that will bring airs of modernity and sophistication to kitchens around the world.
