After a recess of two years, due to the pandemic, the great gastronomic festival that welcomes the most important chefs and brands in the world, returns with a bang. Once again Éric Ripert and José Andrés will be the main hosts of the Cayman Cookout, a 4-day festival (January 12-15) that just as the 13 previous occasions will be held at the Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman hotel, and whose 2023 edition promises to be the biggest ever.

This time, Chef Ripert has prepared, along with his team and with the endorsement of the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism, a menu of events that will certainly be the talk of the island. This Cayman Cookout will not only be focused on high-level cuisine, but also renowned mixologists will demonstrate their knowledge preparing the best drinks and cocktails for those attending.

The first course

Since the beauty of the Cayman Islands is the perfect setting for this exclusive event, its organizers took advantage of the location to schedule activities throughout the four days of the festival, so those participating fully enjoy this Caribbean gem.

A gin tasting in the botanical garden, lunch aboard a boat strolling along the beaches of the island, and a range of outdoor events, will be the perfect excuse to show off spectacular photos on social media.

The main course

To see, be seen and enjoy is the main objective of the Cayman Cookout. Having the opportunity to meet and talk to international chefs like José Andrés, Antonio Bachour, Daniel Boloud or Kristen Kish, among others, will be an unforgettable experience, plus a chance to taste some of their dishes.

In this sense, this edition of the Cayman Cookout will also offer exclusive events such as Barefoot BBQ, Beach Bash, the famous “Ripert and Pétanque,” as well as a session of “Yoga and Krug.” In other words, a wide range of opportunities to rub elbows in a playful way with the great names of international gastronomy.

But the chefs won’t be alone. Internationally renowned brands such as Gaggenau, which belongs to La Cuisine International‘s portfolio, will be present to support the event and show how the great connoisseurs of the culinary arts use their latest products to create magic in the kitchen.

The dessert

The innovation of this 14th edition of the Cayman Cookout is the expansion of its beverage events. Mixologists, sommeliers and experts in spirits and cocktails from around the world will gather at this year’s Cayman Cookout to be the stars of the show.

In this sense, cooking and mixology sessions will take place along the stunning Seven Mile Beach, which has been recognized as one of the best beaches in the Caribbean. The idea is to invite diners to broaden their palates by tasting the world’s most exclusive distillates and the endless ways to present them, as well as the perfect pairing with Michelin-starred dishes.
