The Italian brand Faber was one of our brands that shined due to its products. The brand used KBIS’ platform to showcase a series of new products and models that promote innovation in terms of ventilation. In sum, the public enjoyed fresh designs, technical updates and improved functions.

However, the most striking aspect presented by the brand was the Steam Off system of its beautiful hoods. This exclusive technology from Faber uses air in two ways to eliminate the condensation problem in the kitchen. While the hood is working, air jets are injected in a helical direction into the hood to create a vortex that improves the upward flow of air and the efficiency to capture cooking fumes and steam.

Color by Smeg. The Italian brand and its retro collection entitled FAB20 50’ bedazzled the audience with the color display for refrigerators and freezers. In tune with the trends for 2018, the refrigerator GOLDEN FAB (FAB28RDG) with gold color finish was the jewel of the exhibition.

However, as the innovative element to showcase at KBIS2018, the Italian brand presented a new dishwasher with Smeg’s signature retro style. With the same wide range of colors, this dishwasher offers energy and water efficient use, just like the Energy Star model from Smeg.

Higher engineering in the kitchen. Once more, The Galley presented its higher engineering product range at KBIS. Handmade with an avant-garde design, the spectrum of the brand includes everything from workstations with tools to prepare, cook, entertain, and clean; to anything in between like a line of stainless-steel faucets for the kitchen (The Galley Tap) and high-end kitchen furniture (The Galley Dresser), designed by Doug Durbin, winner of the Kitchen Silver award of the 2017 Best of KBIS awards.

Liebherr also knows about wine. At KBIS 2018, Liebherr showed to the public that not only knows how to preserve wine but also how to enjoy it. The brand, which was actively involved in the WineTalks (a series of discussions and events about wine), seized the occasion to present Monolith, a new generation of wine cabinets and cooling storage solutions amid an American wine tasting session.

Liebherr was also delighted during the event since its refrigerator CBS 1660 was awarded a Good Design Award (award granted by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design) due to its ecological characteristics, its advanced German engineering and sophisticated design.

Luxury in kitchen sinks. Franke stood by its slogan “Make it Wonderful” with an exhibition centered around its Crystal, Pescara and Professional 2.0 collections, which were accompanied by their Chef Center, a tool that turns the sink into a luxury workstation for the kitchen.

Without a doubt, the Crystal collection had the greatest impact. The collection is formed by original sinks, minimalist and modern, with a unique and refined interaction with steel and glass combined with an invisible drainage, so residual water disappears almost magically. The other collections from the brand -Pescara y Professional 2.0- also showcased their competitive advantages: A clean stainless-steel design, deep bowls, and high functional performance faucets are some of the characteristics these collections have in common.

The Chef Center is a new concept for the Franke family. It transforms the sink into the core of the kitchen. The Swiss design system is an expandable solution thanks to a series of accessories that can be acquired by the consumer based on its needs.

Italian design hoods. Once again Best and its luxury kitchen hoods had a spot at KBIS 2018. The Italian company, which has one of the best offers in the industry of hoods, presented a range of products that combine provocative and elegant designs with state-of-the-art performance that allows interior designers and architects to create truly unique spaces without sacrificing functionality.

At the same event two years ago, the brand presented its awarded downdraft innovation Cattura ™, a technology that has been combined with Vertex design hoods, which is patented by BEST.
